Preparing for a hurricane
The Hawaii Emergency Management Agency (HI-EMA) recommends individuals and families prepare an "emergency kit" with a minimum of 14 days' worth of food, water and other supplies.

Finding neighborhood shelters:
Neighborhood schools may be designated as an emergency shelter. Currently Red Hill Elementary is not a designated shelter but that may change depending upon the necessity. Activation is initiated by counties in consultation with HI-EMA.
