HIDOE COVID-19 Updates

As of today, Tuesday March 24, 2020 the Hawai‘i State Department of Education (HIDOE) will be aligning with the emergency orders directing residents statewide to remain at home and work from home through April 30. This means school facilities will be closed to students until at least April 30 and traditional in-school instruction is on hold until schools reopen.
 
 
Grab-and-Go Student Meals
 
The Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) is implementing the Seamless Summer Option program a few months earlier than scheduled, as approved by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Hawaii Child Nutrition Programs, to provide free grab-and-go meals for students during the extended spring break period.

Breakfast service hours:
7:30–8 a.m. For food safety, meals must be consumed by 10 a.m.

Lunch service hours:
11:30 a.m.–12 p.m. For food safety, meals must be consumed by 2 p.m.

Note: Meals will not be served Thursday, March 26, in observance of Prince Kuhio Day
 
 
Continuity of Education Information in the Event of a School Closure
 
The Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) is working closely with the Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) on guidance for our students, teachers, parents and staff to prepare for and prevent the possible arrival of the COVID-19 disease at school campuses.  Please click the link for more information, Continuity of Education Information in the Event of a School Closure.

The following link will allow you to access a list of online resources to access at home from Monday, March 30th until Monday, April 6th.  We will then provide additional grade level specific resources and activities starting on April 7th.
